Pedigree Mangalitza Pigs 

Mangalitza are a pedigree breed and as such are in herdbooks in several countries which show their ancestry. The BPA (British Pig Association) who hold all the U.K. Pedigree Pig herdbooks have records tracing all U.K. Mangalitza to come to the U.K. in 2006 to the latest ones we imported in 2017.

With a small group of breeders in the U.K. we try to preserve the breed and give the pigs the best possible life.

Mangalitza are praised for their specific meat and fat. Matured meat is nicely marbled and ruby red coloured. The White Fat is of supreme quality and contains healthier fatty acids.  These acids make the fat softer, smoother and its melting point is lower. It is easier to digest which makes is more interesting for Culinary experiences.

Mangalitza pigs are a slow growing pig which benefits the quality of the meat.  The combination of the meat and fat makes the Mangalitza a real treat to eat...
